About AutoFixKevins
I started this site to make auto warranty coverage easier to read, one plain detail at a time.
/ My story
Why I Pay Attention to the Fine Print
Most drivers never read a service contract until something breaks. I would rather you read it while your car still runs well.
Where it began
I kept hearing the same story from drivers. A repair bill arrived, and the plan they trusted did not name the part that failed. The plan was not always the problem. The reading was.
So I started writing down the questions I would ask before signing anything, and this site grew out of those notes.
What I do now
I help you sort through auto warranty options for the car you actually drive. I look at the parts list, the deductible, the approval steps and the exclusions with you.
My goal is simple: you should know what a plan covers before you need it, not after.

Three Habits Behind Every Plan I Look At
Read the list first
A plan name can sound broad. I always start with the named parts and the exclusions, since that is where coverage really lives.
Say it plainly
If a term sounds confusing, I put it in everyday words. You should never have to guess what a clause means for your car.
Fit over flash
The right plan matches your mileage, your driving and your budget. A bigger plan is not always a better one for you.
/ How it works
From First Look to a Plan That Fits Your Car
Picking coverage does not need to take over your week. This is the path I suggest, one step at a time, so nothing important gets skipped.
-
01
Share your car details
Note the model year, mileage and service history. They decide which plans your car may qualify for.
-
02
Compare the parts lists
Compare the engine, transmission and electrical parts each plan names, then go over the exclusions.
-
03
Check the terms, then sign up
Check the deductible, waiting period and approval steps, then finish your signup when you're ready.

Know What Your Plan Covers Before a Part Fails

Drivers Who Want Their Car on the Road
Every driver comes to coverage with a different worry. These are the folks I hear from most.
Daily commuters
People who rack up miles on the way to work and cannot afford a surprise repair.
Used car buyers
New owners who want to understand protection for a car with some history behind it.
Truck and SUV owners
Drivers who lean on their drivetrain and want those parts named on the list.
High mileage drivers
Owners past the factory warranty who still plan to keep their car for a good while.
I would rather you ask one more question today than find a gap in your coverage at the repair shop tomorrow.
